On National level Republicans pushed through Congress Deficit Reduction Act of 2005 at 1:00 a.m. in the morning aimed at massive rollback of federal services due to a massive rollback in federal tax dollars. This strategy was meant to unravel federal programs republicans hate; i.e., social security, medicare, medicaid, middle class workers' pensions, workers' health care, workers' unions, In addition, to keep blame from landing on republicans, they passed federal services & benefits onto states that had their state treasuries significantly reduced by Norquist's "no tax pledge", thus, those services and benefits were not affordable by states.
National Republicans acquiesed with Bush/Cheney team by intentionally misleading American people into starting Afganastan & Iraqi wars to further deplete federal treasury. by pretending existence of "Weapons of mass destruction" existed. However, it's 2010 and none have been found after over 20,000 U.S. young men and women have given their lives and thousands maimed! The estimated costs in dollars for fighting in Afganistan war @$18,000 per minute and Iraqi War @ $100,000 per minute.
National republicans pushed through Congress a $1 trillion dollar tax cut for the rich and wealthy
Naitonal republicans looked-the-other-way allowing unheard of "legal" profits, as ENRON had made in energy industry, to take place in American industries of gas and oil, finance, energy, etc.
National republican economic policy created an environment causing American consumers not to wait until they’d made the money...President Bush told them to "go shopping" to help America's economy recover...to take their vacations or buy their houses. They turned to credit. They borrowed against future earnings. They spent money they hadn’t earned yet…thus bringing forward purchases that should have been made in the future. This combination has brought about a depression because we're not living in the future!
In 2010 Kentucky is broke along with many other states!
America's own leaders sold out America for a few measly dollars! My granddaughter born at 1:20 p.m. June 25th's future has been relegated to 3rd World existence all because ultra conservative orthodoxy has managed to scream long and loud things the uninformed majority wanted to hear! They're and their heirs are going to get what they asked for.
